The 103rd Patriotic and Historical Ball is one of the
opening galas of Fiesta® 2024. The first Patriotic and Historical Ball took
place in 1919 to honor San Antonio’s military personnel, and the event has
continued since that time.
The evening begins with patriotic ceremonies, followed by
the introduction of the Pioneers’ own Fiesta royalty,
Honoring the Pioneers’ Honorary Lady Chairman, Cheryl

The Mo-Dels will open up for the legendary band Bubble
Puppy on Sat.June 14 at Sams Burger Joint. Bubble Puppy made rock history
when their hit record "Hot Smoke and Sassafras" shot straight to the top of
the charts, outpacing bands like The Doors,Cream,The Who, and CCR. To give
you an idea of the power of this record, "Proud Mary" and "Pinball Wizard"
both fizzled out before reaching number one, while "Hot Smoke and Sassafras"
